HitmanHitman
Tuesday, Nov 20th @ 7:30pm
Pavilions Theater, 500 16th St.

Based on the top-selling, award-winning videogame franchise, the "Hitman" is a genetically-engineered, elite assassin known only as Agent 47. His hallmarks are a lethal grace, unwavering precision, and resolute pride in his work. But even 47 couldn't anticipate a "random equation" in his life of exactitude: the unexpected stirrings of his conscience and the unfamiliar emotions aroused in him by a mysterious Russian woman.

As arguments, memories and bullets fly, the three stories are woven ever more tightly together, revealing how each of these Americans has a profound impact on each other and the world.

This film is rated R. You must be at least 17 years of age to play for tickets.

SanYork Fair TradeSanYork Fair Trade Event & Performance
To benefit the Children of Lumbreras
November 17th, 11am-3pm, Denver Merchandise Mart
& Jonathan Tiersten Performance at 4900 W 46th Ave, 7-10pm

Each year, in December, the SanYork Fair Trade organization puts together an event to feed and donate basic food staples and toys to the children of Lumbreras neighborhood in Lima. Lumbreras, located a mile and a half from their Lima workshop lies on top of an arid hillside. No roads lead to the village. It has no water, sewer, or electricity for it’s inhabitants who live in cardboard and plastic tarp houses supported with scrap wood frames.

Most of the women living there are single mothers unable to find work in Lima. All of them immigrated there from the remote villages of Andahuaylas in the forgotten canyons of the Andes. They leave behind absolute poverty looking for a brighter future for their children in the big city. Unfortunately Lima has an extremely high unemployment rate and no social programs to receive these immigrants. The result is places like Lumbreras and the heartbreaking sight of children in the most miserable of living conditions with no hope or help in sight.

Too close to ignore their neighbors, SanYork Fair Trade tries their best to devote some of their scant resources to help. The artist's co-op and all of their employees in Lima participate in cooking, buying and packaging food, and entertaining the 200 plus children that are in desperate need there. It's a great reward seeing the smiles on the children's faces and knowing they will not go hungry in the coming months. You can help the families of Lumbreras and get something nice in the exchange.

Come to “For the Children of Lumbreras,” November 17th, 11:00am to 3:00pm at the Denver Merchandise Mart, 451 E. 58th Avenue #1140. Shop the showroom at wholesale prices and enjoy a free lunch. The money you spend in the showroom will go directly to the charity. Buying from Fair Trade companies goes a long way to help throughout the year.

Jonathan TierstenThen come enjoy “An Evening with Jonathan Tiersten.” Jonathan is a local actor/singer/songwriter, who will perform his solo acoustic show at: Witches Brew, 4900 W. 46th Avenue from 7pm to 10pm.

Tickets for the Jonathan's performance are $10.00 each. 100% of the money is going to the charity. To buy tickets for the evening performance please email: sanyorksales@aol.com. Tickets are also be available at the showroom. Space is limited so buy your tickets early. Feel free to call SanYork at 303-308-1888 with any questions.

It’s Christmas Eve. Angela Bridges (Rachel Nichols- “Alias” and CHARLIE WILSON’S WAR), an ambitious young executive, works late before she leaves for her family’s holiday party. When she gets down to the parking garage, she discovers that her car won't start. The garage is deserted and her cell phone doesn't get a signal underground.

When Thomas (Wes Bentley- AMERICAN BEAUTY), a friendly security guard, comes along and offers to help, Angela nervously accepts his gesture of good will.  Soon after a failed attempt to start her car, he invites her to stay and share a small Christmas dinner he's preparing in the parking office, but she laughs it off.  Angela doesn’t realize this is no laughing matter – Thomas has been watching her closely...for months. His dinner invitation is not optional. If Angela wants to live to see Christmas morning, she must find a way to escape from level P2 of the parking garage.

This film is rated R. You must be at least 17 years of age to play for tickets.

Directed by Academy Award® winner Robert Redford, the story begins after two determined students at a West Coast University, Arian and Ernest, follow the inspiration of their idealistic professor, Dr. Malley, and attempt to do something important with their lives. But when the two make the bold decision to join the battle in Afghanistan, Malley is both moved and distraught.

Now, as Arian and Ernest fight for survival in the field, they become the string that binds together two disparate stories on opposite sides of America.  In California, an anguished Dr. Malley attempts to reach a privileged but disaffected student who is the very opposite of Arian and Ernest.

Meanwhile, in Washington D.C. the charismatic Presidential hopeful, Senator Jasper Irving, is about to give a bombshell story to a probing TV journalist that may affect Arian and Ernest’s fates.

As arguments, memories and bullets fly, the three stories are woven ever more tightly together, revealing how each of these Americans has a profound impact on each other and the world.

This film is rated R. You must be at least 17 years of age to play for tickets.
